2018: Documentation of Christoforos shipwreck in Skopelos, Magnisia, Greece
Flat iron collier “Christoforos” was built at Thomas Hardie shipyards in 1950 was purchased under a Greek company at 1976 and sunk at 1983 in Panormos bay, Skopelos, Greece. The shipwreck has been photographed using 12Mpixels action cameras and also using 22Mpixels DSLR camera in a housing. Aim of the survey was to raise awareness of modern shipwrecks and the need to protect them, their value for biodiversity, their value for diving culture and diving tourism. Apart from over 3000 photographs and 2 hours of video footage, a 3D model of the wreck has been produced for research purposes.
